Our Wedding Venue

Wow, its been a year since we got married this month! Despite all the stress of the weather predicted to be extremely windy and hot, the day turned out to be just perfect. The wedding was held at this beautiful and elegant estate, Gabbinbar Homestead, Toowoomba.

Today’s post will be a little tour into our wedding venue and all the decors (most are handcrafted/homemade DIYs, with the larger floral pieces done by professionals) we used. So our ceremony was located between the trees, followed by a jazzy garden party complimented by the delicious grazing board and we then all had our reception in the glass conservatory.

Venue: Gabbinbar Homestead

Florist: Green and Bloom

Cake: Pepperberry

Photographer: Bulb Creatives

Update! Its been too long @@

Wow it has been quite a while since being on this blog! Lots have happened: PhD, dating, moving homes, adulting, marriage, COVID, businessing and more!

There’s just so much to share here! As a starting point, I’ve added a few quick sneaky peek of one of the major events thus far as a starting point (husband is camera shy so you wont see much of him >.<) – THE WEDDING PHOTOS. Hope to post more sometime soon.

On another note, recently my husband and I are starting a little business called Tumble and Daisy (www.tumbleanddaisy.com.au) – just launched on Sunday! We are selling boutique leisurewear for both people and dogs – the fun thing is we aim to source and/or design our pieces that dog & human, human & human or self matching sets.

Absolutely nerve racking and wow social media is a lot of work:s….eventually I will understand how it really works lol. Check us out and give us a like and follow on instagram @tumbleanddaisy. We will need all the support there is to start this little one up! chat soon xx

Brisbane International

Brisbane International – Mens Single Quaterfinal (Federer (win) vs Duckworth) and Females Single Semi-final (Sharapova (win) vs Svitolina) @ Pat Rafter Arena.

The mens game didn’t go for long but oh well we got to see Federer play!!! The female single match was more exciting.

Here’s some action shots from the match using my new 210mm lens:-

Almost Nailed it!

Did my nails almost nailed it! It seems to be a cool trend going around with having boarders only on your nails leaving the middle clear or with other colours. I gave it a go this week, not 100% perfect but it was pretty cool… Couldn’t help myself but to show them off during Thursday coffee time @Roost!

girls with fabulous hair (as in not me)

As I was shopping today with my friend Megan, I couldn’t help but notice peoples hair. One girl had her hair braided with fabulous pastel ribbons, and another lady had her hair pinned up in this gorgeous rose-like updo. With my hastily made ponytail for a day of some serious shopping, my hair felt blah. And feeling blah is bad. So I made a lookbook of all the hairstyles I need to try out this summer.

This summer I am going to try recreate the hairstyles above to step up my hair game. I promise to blog about…

ANZAC Eve Concert – Queensland Symphony Orchestra

Background: The acronym for ANZAC stands for Australian and New Zealand Army Corps, whose soldiers  fought at Gallipoli in the Ottoman Empire during World War I were known as Anzacs. ANZAC day, 25th April (day Anzacs landed in Gallipoli) every year, marks the anniversary of the first campaign that led to major casualties and honouring the members of ANZAC who fought.

On the 24th April, I attended the ANZAC Eve Concert presented by Queensland Symphony Orchestra (QSO) and RSL (Queensland Branch), and supported by RACQ to honour current and ex-serving men and women, remembering those we have lost in past and present wars. Amazing first class performances by the QSO, Queensland Detatchment of the Royal Australian Navy Band, Brisbane Police Pipes and Drums,  Queensland Choir and the legendary Australian soprano Lisa Gasteen along with The Armed Man, A Mass for Peace and Songs of Sanctuary by Karl Jenkins, Fauré’s Requiem and music by Sibelius, Tchaikovsky and more.
